Molly!

I love the hair!
You must have colored it again?
I've always liked your natural color:-)

I miss you too. Almost called the other day, but I always have my hands full, and I feel like I always catch you on the go.
How's work?
With all the beautiful Fall color here, I think of you often. I think "Molly would DIE to be here with her camera!!"
So can you come? Tomorrow? Bringing your camera of course!

Love you lots and lots!
Will call soon, and you can call me too:-)

Love,
Sis

Hi. I am not your sister, but I AM a friend of Mattie's. Just stopped by to check out your blog. :)

Hey, Molly! Your hair looks so cute!
Speaking of your sisters, Mattie is not doing the Monster Concert because Ben has a CONFOUNDED BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT!!!!! and Mattie is a cheerleader.
We sure needed something that would make Mattie busier than ever before, didn't we? :-(
Mattie is so different nowadays. *sigh*
Forlornly,
Emmy

Are you venting Emmy? But yes, Mattie is differnt, but we are all changing. All of us are growing up, going our seprate ways. I know it would be "nice" to not change, to not move, to have things as they always were. But such cannot be, dearest Em.

Hi Molly! I am a friend of Mattie's, and Emma's, and Emmy's. I have been a lurker on your blog for a while now, and thought it was time to comment!

Ashley said...

Oh and Molly, I love your hair!

We should nickname Sashy "Lurky."
Yes, I is venting.
Now you sound very old and wise, Sashy.
And I don't care if we are s'posed to change. I hate it anyway. Why do people have to grow up and CHANGE? It will be ever so much worse when everybody starts getting married. *pouts*

I don't think I've changed much.
Do you?
The thing is that this change in Mattie doesn't feel GOOD. Maybe it is, and I'm just selfish. I mean, of course I'm selfish - I'm human...But I want the Mattie who DOESN'T go to PVBC BACK! That is how I feel. I want the old Mattie back.
Sorry for "venting" on your blog, Molly. I'll go vent on Sashy's blog instead, if you like. :-)
I mean, I still love Mattie, and she's stil MAttie, but she's so DIFFERENT. I mean, basically everything she likes now, she likes because everybody at her church likes it. LIke skirts, and volleyball, and cheerleading, etc.
Okay, I'm done.

I just wanted to clarify something...I don't have anything against PVBC. I think it's a wonderful church. I have met some of the girls who go there, and they are very sweet.

emmy...You are welcome to Vent on my blogg any day love.
I am sure that Miss Mattie and all of you in some ways or others ARE changing...I remember it was hard for meeee too...some of my friends at your age went to public school and changed a lot...some of my friends became boy crazy and I had nothing in common with them any more...ect ect...there are so many changes...and they do not stop for a FEW years I am afraid...however...I can tell you this...I have a couple friends from my childhood and they are EVER Sooo DEAR to me...LIKE NO ONE ELSE could EVER be in the world EVER... (like Brittany for example...my longest and closest friend).. There is a couple friends that I met in college one particular that is as close as a sister and one of my Best friends like Britt...but this is a gift and hard to come by as you get older...The people that stuck by me as my friend through ALL the weird fazes and changes are my truest of friends...and this time in your life is building character and depth to your friendships even if you go through times when you feel like they are not the friend you know... Britt and I went through some years in high school where we chose different friends and were not very close... but I knew that She was a real friend and that maybe someday we would be close again...I also felt that if she ever needed me or I ever needed her...well... any way...God is AMAZING...we did find each other in our busy lives again in college and became close...then when she got married and then I did...WE ARE EVEN CLOSER THEN WE HAVE EVER BEEN and our husbands ARE BEST FRIENDS TOO!!!!!! It is the coolest thing and biggest gift in my life EVER! All this to say that God will bless you and guide you in what friends to let go their way and what friends to pray for and love until you can find things in common again and also those friends that are just going through normal changes, trying to grow up having to make good and not as good choices...and then learn why they were or were not the right way to do things or say things ect...some friends we just stick to like glue and to do that at your age (simply because it is an age where the MOST change happens in the littlest amount of time) you must seek the Lord for more Grace with your friends then normal. =)
I have become more distant from my family since they have started going to their new church and It has been REALLY hard to have things in common with any of them really...Also...Mattie has grown up sooo much since I left home and I wish I could say that I knew her VERY WELL...but I am prayerfully seeking to know her better and I hope she knows how much I love her...I know Mattie is a strong and very BIG Hearted young lady... I can understand that you might be feeling like things have changed since that church...I feel the same way in many ways...I am sure that Mattie values your friendship and I hope that she is not changing in any bad ways from the Mattie that we know her to be... I will be praying for your friendship and you pray for my relationship/friendship with my sweet sister too! =) We can talk some more about it if you like. I am always willing to listen, always. Lord Blessssss you sweet girl and thank you for looking out for my little sis and loving her like you do! =)

I think it's sooo wonderful that you and Brittany have been friends for so long. Sashy (Ashley -her blog is A Bowery Hollow) and I have been friends for five years now...and we pray that we will stay close for many more years. Jillian G. (sister of Christine, Mark and Jessica, daughter of Vicki and Jim...I don't know if you know them) have been friends for...I think eight years...and Caitlin K. (Erin, Christopher, Rosie and Lucy's sister) and I have been friends for we can't remember how long! Mattie and I can't remember when we met either.
Did you know that Mattie is an inch taller than me???? She is getting so tall. She's always saying, "Can I have that when you grow out of it?" and I'm like, "I don't think I'm GOING to grow out of it!" :-)

lol! I bet...With Mattie I have just been holding my breath...I am quite sure that she is going to turn into a woman over night and THAT I will NOT be ready for...I did...I was the smaller one of my friends and "I" was so geeky looking and skinny...then over night, I looked much older to everyone...no one ever guessed my age right..it was crazy how over night that was for me...I am guessing that it will be that way with Mattie...Oh MAN that will be strange...She is my BABY SISTER!!! She is THE BABY in the family! Yes I know the girls you mentioned as your friends..(well i remember them when they were very little) NOW they are all growing up, so I am not sure that they would remember much about me..lol...I think you have some of the most BEAUTIFUL (INSIDE And out) friends ever!!!! The girls you mentioned are all sooo special and one of a kind! You are such a sweet young lady too! I am sure that you all have what it takes to stay close...but I am also sure there will be times when you have more in common with one then another. The cool thing is that you can grow through stuff together as long as you have grace with each other...

You are right...there have been times when I have not been too close to Jill...mostly because we never saw each other. Once, I was actually very jealous of Caitlin over something...a looooong time ago. :-) Sashy and I have our little disagreements...but they make us closer.
Mattie always did look very young...and now she is so beautiful and mature. It's crazy. She doesn't think of herself as physically beautiful...but she really is!
We are going to get her set up with a Google account if it's okay with her parents...(your parents :-)...hopefully soon!

Uncle and Auntie Hightower <>< said...

That would be fun, for Mattie to be available... =)
Yup! =)
yup yup!
Love ya Emmy! Keep reminding me and if your parents say it is ok, I will take you and Mattie for ice cream or something one of these days..Maybe a Monday? when Mattie gets done with school? Or another day actually would work out ok too. Hope your having a great day! =)

I've had the priviledge of growing close to Molly is our adult life...and that is a rare treasure. You just generally do not find a close friend as an adult. I've been blessed in finding a couple close friends as an adult...and this DEAR Molly is one of them.

So Emmy...listen to Molly's wise words carefully cause she is giving you very good advice and is one of the best friends a girl could ask for. Her heart is pure and she is there for you no matter what.

Thank you Molly for being so special. You mean the world to me...and I mean that!

Love you girl.

P.S. Any day works for me, except WEdnesday and Thursday. Choir is on Thursday and I have a class on Wednesday. Mark G. is teaching it! It's really fun. Since he went to the Focus on the Family Institute this year, he wanted to teach a worldview class for homeschooled high schoolers.

Sounds fun Emmy! Wish I could come. :( But I has a baby shower to go to, plus I wasn't invited, so that would be rude! Lol.
