Nicholas' Grandma is a HUGE huge huge center in the family. She is a woman with great faith and strength. Today is her 94th Birthday. Grandma Mary was married to Nicks Grandpa until he passed away from a cancer in '74. She was married again to a very kind man until he also passed away in the 90's. Nick (my husbands), Mom was only 2o or 21, just starting college when her Dad died of Cancer. It was a very hard thing (of course). she was able to have another father figure for a time, but has been extremely close to her mother (as her Mom was her and her brother (uncle Gary's) only parent for the majority of their lives. Grandma Mary is truly amazing. i am so blessed to have gotten to know her personally over th
e last few years, she has become a Grandma to me on so much more th
en a married level, some of our longer and deeper chats have been ones that I will never forget and will tell our children, and her great grandchildren about for sure.Over the last year or so she has fought Breast Cancer. When she was diagnosed, was a very weary time for family, we all know how much she wants to go home but we so disparately want more time with her. She has as long as I have known her been so eager for going home (Heaven, Her REAL Home). She is ready to see her Jesus face to face. I have told Grandma on a few occasions that she MUST push on and continue to do so, with joy because she knows better then anyone, how God's timing is not like ours, and it is BEST and He has a reason (that is so clear to me) for keeping her with us. He has kept Grandma here, for her children and all of the rest of us....The time that we have had with Grandma, WE needed and will cherish always. She told me that she agreed and that her only fear was her children, grandchildren or even great grandchildren not knowing the Lord. Other then that she understood that Gods ways are so vastly better then our own, but she was definitely ready for when He would choose to bring her home. She is amazing. Her faith and her love for others is inspiring to say the very least. She is so special and has been so incredibly healthy and active her whole life! She played tennis into her later 70's!!! Even after her Cancer she was so amazingly strong. She has been loosing her sight and slowly hearing less as well.
Lately she has been even more longing for her time to see the Lord and has been in pain. Even with Grandmas heart about things, All of her family will need SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH PRAYER when that day does come...soooo much! Us kids worry greatly about our Mom and how she will handle things, even being as prepared as anyone CAN be for something this hard. I have no idea what I will do when the day comes for the Lord to take MY grandparents home...I also know that my own heart will miss Grandma Mary beyond words. Today on Grandma Marys Birthday she was being taken home by Uncle Gary. Mom had just gotten Home here (Grandma lives in Vallejo) , Grandma was not able to breath well and was taken to the hospital. They told us that Grandma has a very bad Pneumonia. It is a serious situation. I ask that you pray for our Grandma. If it is Gods will that she have more time, please pray for her healing and that she would feel better then she did before all of this. If it is His will that she come home to him soon, i ask that you would PRAY PRAY PRAY for Nicks Mom and Uncle Gary and for all the rest of her VAST family that will grieve for quite a time I am sure. I have feared the news for some time now, how I know that it will affect us all, but specifically (for me anyway) My Mother in Law and my husband. We know that as always GOD IS IN CONTROL! Please pray for us...it has been a crazy time with many hard things happening.
There is a woman that Nick and I are very close to that lives bellow us and has many medical problems and is unable to do many things for herself, we do all kinds of things, whatever we can to help her out. She is such a SWEET and DEAR woman. I have taken her to Dr. Apt and been with her in the hospital before, Nick likes to surprise her with her favorite, sushi. Her name is Jacquie and she is a very special person to us. She calls us her grandkids and encourages and loves on everyone around her! She is also in the hospital for Pneumonia and could very much use your prayers. Also, I do not have much new information about our Aunt Lona who I mentioned is in the hospital right now also, for fluids around the heart, and kidney failure. I heard that they drained the fluid and she is doing better at this point. She is also is a HUGE center, to the other side of the family! Please if you would, I know I have asked for so much prayer lately, but if you would just continue to pray....for strength through this time and also for the family involved. We ask that you just pray that Gods will be done and that we have the strength to handle this time no matter what that may be. Thank you so much, so VERY much for your loving prayers. They are heard.
Gratefully His, Moll<><
